It's been awhile since I broke out this quote, but it's one of my faves, so on this rainy Friday (from my beloved Anne of GG):
"After all," Anne had said to Marilla once, "I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."
It's grey today-my laundry day-and I'm feeling the need for hot tea, hours of writing and maybe a bit of reading too.
And on that note, I will sign off with some things we love. I have long made these "things I love" lists; I have quite the collection of them in my journals through the years. I always attempt to add new things to the list (though the "old things" are beautiful too.)
We love gorgeous photography; flowers, warm air and green, green grass.
We love marriage, cute marriage blogs, good books, drive-in movies, adventures and picnics. We love fireplaces, front porches, big windows, stained glass, lattes, shooting with film and sweet iced tea. We love surprises, candles, long dinner parties with our friends, rocking chairs, mittens and snail mail. We love instagram, knee socks, thrift stores and road trips.
And you-what do you love? Tell us! We shall breathlessly await your responses.
