A few weeks ago we met Eva and her sweet grandparents whom she brought in for a photo session in honour of their 70th anniversary. They were adorable and have years of stories but since they didn't speak English, we asked Eva to tell us a bit more about them.
This is what she said:
Seventy years ago Izabella and Mieczysław said “I do”. They met and spent the majority of their lives in a small village in Poland where they raised their family. They moved to Canada approximately 10 years ago to reunite with their four children as well as their 12 grandchildren and to-date, 13 great grandchildren. Throughout their marriage, and even now, they have always respected each other’s differences and similarities and have held family as an important part of their lives. They are truly each other’s soulmate and you can see the genuine love, care, and companionship in their relationship that has only strengthened over time and still continues.
So we hope their story and their commitment to love, each other, and family inspires you a little today and makes your weekend a bit brighter too.
