Snow Days.

December has been a bit of a whirl of Santa photos, Starbucks, editing, a few random Christmas parties and photo shoots.

1....And...maybe a few guilty pleasures.

Like when Jon is in London and I'm at home editing for hours...with Gossip Girl as my sole companion.

DRAMA.

Okay, wellllll, I also have my fave black hoodie (yes, I wear it almost every day when I'm home in the winter), some candles and a teensy bit o' white wine. (I know, I know-it's classy y'all.)

Also, yesterday, I saw some geese flying south for Christmas. It seemed a little late since we are being inundated with snow this weekend.

So hope these snowy days are finding you well and with lots of holiday cheer.

Daring Greatly, Book Clubs and a bit In-Between.

My friend Mel-who has made a few appearances on this blog, wrote a few of us recently and asked if we'd be interested in a long-distance book club. (More on this at some point in the future.)

Last night, I commenced our first read-Daring Greatly by Brene (hmmmm....she's supposed to have a ' above that "e") Brown.

She starts the book with this excerpt from Theodore Roosevelt's April 1910 speech at the Sorbonne in Paris, France.

It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly.....

I'm only 50 pages in, but I already have so much to think about.

And that's all-just a little inspiration for this Tuesday morning.
