I have to tell you (on this grey, rainy night when I am home alone and the silence reigns), that I have spent more time on Pinterest in the last two weeks than I have in the last two years.

Mostly I tell myself that all the beauty inspires me to create more beauty.

I think this is true.

Meet Ben.

We did a bit of spontaneous photography this weekend as we drove between errands. Grey days inspire me and the feel of anything above 0 degrees (though it was still too close for entire comfort) was nothing short of pure joy. We'd stopped to take photos of something else entirely when Jonathan noticed Ben making his way off the ice and sent me scurrying in his direction.

I yelled it out across the ice, but when he didn't respond, I took a couple of snaps anyway. He laughed when he got to the edge and saw me.

And now I'm excited to introduce him to you.

Masses, meet Ben, the adorable.

His name is Ben and he'd been out for four hours. This was his entire catch.

He said he needed a photo of me to take home to make his wife jealous. Thanks, Ben.

He didn't have email so he gave us his address. Looks like some snail mail is in order.
