Double Header

We have two weddings this weekend, which warrants a lot of coordination and early mornings.

We set our alarm for 5:50 (yes, a.m.) today and headed to Toronto, to send Jonathan up to Thunder Bay for Shannon + Jean-Paul's wedding.

And on the home front, I'll be shooting Jason + Jillian's wedding with our fabulous Maddy and the oh-so-talented Christina today, in our neighboring Waterdown.

Tomorrow morning, steamy Starbucks goodness in hand, I'll get up even earlier to join Jonathan up north for the actual wedding.

Even with the late nights, early mornings and long hours, I am amazed at our life, at what we get to do.

We love working together and getting to do what we love every single day is the Biggest Gift.

Anddddd, speaking of work-here are some snaps of us from Helena and Stephen's wedding last month. She sent them over to me late last night and I can't help but share.

From the Intern Corner//Meet Maddy

Masses! We've been bursting at the seams for about two months now, ready to introduce you to our intern.

We had some amazing applications for this summer's position, but at the end of the day, we knew that this girl was the best fit.

While she's here, you'll be hearing from her right here, on Tuesdays, so mark your calendars.

And without further ado....meet Maddy!

Hello, All! My name is Maddy Holcomb and I am a growing lifestyle photographer and serendipitous adventurer on the side. Born and raised in the rolling hills of central Pennsylvania, USA, I am living life as a daughter, sister, traveler (with a dash of gypsy), intern, movie junkie, foodie, go-getter, small-town-dweller, and awkward-er... I am beyond stoked to be working for two masterminds known as Jon and Layne Grime. If my motley collection of descriptions was not enough to get to know me, here are ten more things about myself (also motely):

   1. Earl Grey > Any other hot beverage

  2. I am at the ever-wise (nope) age of eighteen.

 3. I adore the smell of books, however, I rarely read.

  4. Anything makeup, I am all about.

 5. Disco music is my favorite music.

6.  My favorite meal of the day: Chinese at midnight.

 7. Due to my shoe size of 6 ½ to my height of 5’7, I have a tendency of randomly falling over.

 8. Black, white, and red are the colors that seem to make up my life.

     9. If stargazing were a sport, I would be a professional.

10. There is nothing that makes me happier than long drives in the sunshine.

Throughout these next few months I will be posting on the blog about every week from the intern corner. I’ll be sharing personal photos, stories, and anything else that may come to mind. This is just the beginning; here we go!
