Free Wedding Photography Entry//Travis & Meghan

We met when we were both in our last years of high school, and we had our first date in a café. We fell in love very quickly and moved in together in August 2011. We have supported each other through many things including multiple school programs. Travis just finished schooling to become a nurse, and I am in the middle of a degree at McMaster University. Christmas Eve of 2014, while we were both in school and living with family, I got diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. From January to June of 2015 I underwent chemotherapy. Instead of putting a strain on our relationship, the stress of the constant hospital visits and chemotherapy treatments made our relationship grow and become stronger. After being given a clean bill of health in August 2015, Travis proposed and we became engaged on October 25th 2015. I was just getting out of class and Travis picked me up from school. When I got in the car I noticed that he was holding a little orange cat with a collar on. The tag on the collar read “Will you marry me”? Since then we have been so excited and happy about our engagement. We have a very low budget because of both being students, and as of right now we are only able to work part time jobs. We hope to have a rustic barn wedding in spring of 2017, but because of the recent engagement the planning is still in early stages.

Three Quirky Facts about Us:

1. We love Harry Potter, we have a huge framed marauders map in our bedroom. We plan to use Harry Potter themes in our wedding.
2. We also both love animals of any kind. We watch a lot of animal documentaries on TV. We also both work at PetSmart. We currently live with two cats, two fish tanks, and a leopard gecko! We also have a dog but she is currently living with Travis’ sister Hayley because of our living situation.
3. We are both artistic and enjoy painting, drawing, and taking pictures. We do a lot of adult coloring as well! (We recently both got Harry Potter adult colouring books for Christmas
