Jono & Laynie specializes in taking headshots and photos/videos for businesses and individuals. Whether it’s a lifestyle business branding session or documenting your company in action, we have the photography/videography skills for you.

In our photo studio, we use a combination of ambient and external lighting to create mood and document people the way they want to be seen.

Headshot sessions are an especially rewarding creative challenge because many people need a portrait that reflects both their serious, professional side along with the charm in their personality.

This makes headshot photos somewhat tricky, but also a lot of fun. We have a small window of time to take photos that reflect so many different aspects of someone’s personality.

We first ran our photo business out of our one-bedroom apartment. We didn’t have internet at the time and had to go down the street to the library to use their internet. But we did several photo sessions and video projects out of our apartment, including headshots.

Several years into our business, we were lucky enough to start renting a photo studio space in downtown Brantford. We moved to a new photo studio after that, and in 2018, in the very best turn of events, we were able to buy a property with an old carriage house we turned into a photo studio.

We LOVE our 400-square foot space. Over the years, we’ve had many photo sessions in our photography studio - from couple’s portraits, to boudoir sessions, business promo videos, and business lifestyle images.

But one of our favourite times of photo sessions will always be headshots. We love hearing people’s stories about their new business, company rebrand, or new job. Headshots are an easy way to help your professional image stand out. And we’re here to help that happen for you! We guide you through the process of what to wear and recommend getting your hair/makeup done. Then, we’re you’re in the photo studio, we aim to make your portrait session as fun and painless as possible.
